The
basis of this first tsunami piece is the painting, done back in 2002. I'd
been doing a lot of thinking about the power behind nature -- particularly
water. After the deadly deluge of 2004, I dug the painting out, but it wasn't
until 2005 that I finished it by adding some layering. A backboard, as well
as pieces of flotsam retrieved from the beach at Asbury Park, completed the
piece.
