Another
effort using objects retrieved from the ocean and incorporated into the piece.
The cool thing about the Beachcomber series is integrating these found objects,
which natural forces have transformed into shapes and colors that outstrip
anything that the human hand can achieve. Here, in the process of oxidation,
the wind, water and sunlight have fused together a cable [probably from an
anchor line], a chain, and various bits of the sea and sand around them, turning
the entire mass a uniquely beautiful color.
