INFLIKTORS

Lee Infliktor used to come into the Record Garage to rent guitars and amps when they had a gig. When the instruments came back they used to smell so bad we'd put the cases outside on the steps to air out. The guitars were literally caked in dried sweat, the necks gooey and sticky. We all marvelled at how anyone could stink up a rig in so little time- usually they only took the stuff out for the weekend at most. Even taking into account the standard stench of cigarette smoke and stale beer you expected from the Rat or the Club this was a superlative odor. That, my friend, was true punk rock. I'll bet the Sex Pistols equipment smelled just like that.
