SIGN THIS PETITION
and HELP GET DAN KRAMER'S COOL BOSTON ROCK DOCUMENTARY RELEASED!
Five years
ago, I assembled a film crew and headed out to Boston to document the
explosive music scene of the late 80s and early 90s. We covered Mission
of Burma, The Pixies, Throwing Muses, Dinosaur Jr, Morphine, Juliana Hatfield,
Buffalo Tom, Treat Her Right, the origins of Fort Apache, and The Middle
East. We also spoke to a few people in the scene at the time.
Since the film's
completion, I have been attempting to sell it various television companies,
DVD distributors and even record labels who signed many of these acts.
Although they all enjoyed the film, not one of these companies has been
willing to release this film as they feel there isn't a market for it,
so it sits on my shelf gathering dust.
In the wake
of filming this project, The Pixies, Throwing Muses, Dinosaur Jr and even
Mission of Burma have reformed. Fort Apache was sold, and Billy Conway
and Dana Colley formed Twinemen. Many of these bands are more popular
and relevant than when they were at their musical peak, and this is the
only film covering it!
I am asking
you to sign your name to the petition below and help spread the world
of this film's existence. Once I have enough names I can take it back
to DVD distributors and record labels and prove to them that there is
enough interest in this topic to release it.
Thanks,
Dan Kramer
