4) Baby's Arm.

Sounds like me. Through a keyword search (Thundertrain Boston) I discovered this website. Wow ! What a job! I was deep in the thick of this whole scene. In my case, "Putting down my cigarettes, and dropping out of BU." Like everyone else I was in a band. The only difference between us and the rest is we KNEW we were lousy. Adopted our name from a Willie Alexander song ( shamelessly hoping to curry his favor), The Bimbos. Played a few gigs at Cantones, and The Club ( Monday night). Lineup included Tracks guitarist John Lewis on guitar, and lead vocals ( sometimes) by The Count .. others times lead vox by whoever was closest to the mic. Just to add to the lunacy Lord Manual occasional sat in on Synth. Not even having grown up with Peter Dayton (La Peste) gave me any sort of edge as far getting the band any sort of acceptance. Loretta ( as in "Talking to...") once hugged me though .. during a gig at The Club when I referred to her as I ad-libbed some lyrics. Sheer madness ... the whole thing... but still I am proud to say I was there. Left Bosstown in '78 to finish college in Illinois. Saw the Real Kids in '79 in Chicago. Anyway, phenomenal site. It takes me back ... a way back .. to the wall ... Gone.
