AIDAN GEORGE MARS INCAGNOLI

A Year & Half to 2 Years

These first shots were taken on May 14, on a trip to Allaire Park to ride the train; the next were taken at Aidan's second birthday party, and the rest go from most recent back to least. Thanks to Aunts Ro & Barbara for coming down from Boston, and Honarary Aunt/Uncle Nancy & Rodney who trekked in with Baby Ezra from Brooklyn, Penny & Marissa, Jen, Andrew, Chad & John, and the Auxiliary Aunts & Uncles from Britain - Mark & Gwenda, Nick and Anne. As usual Nanna Rosie was a force behind the scenes, and as always the generosity of Nanna Alice made all the difference -- in this case, it made balloons and cake possible.

Get on the train ...

... take a look around ...

... I think we're leaving...

Yes! We are! I'm so glad Mom found this place!

... have a good rest later...

... and a snack.

One of Aiidan's fave things are race cars, these days, so Mom got a cake with a race car on it; it looked morelike a racing shoe to be honest, but Aiidan was thrilled.

Make a wish!

Hmmm, maybe we should read these instructions ...

Mom shows correct bubble-blowing form.

"No, Mom, it goes like this!"

Aidan was a bit intimidated, but tried out his new tricycle just to humor mom and dad.

Kicking the tires of the new trike.

Aunt Ro shows her nephew how it's done. I think she may need training wheels.

Inventorying the new trains with Dad.

Mmmmm ... cake! It was Aidan's very first experience with the strange and exotic baked confection.

Aunts Ro and Barbara set up the new super train layout, and Aidan couldn't have been happier.

"Went down to the crossroads ....". Aidan showing Aunt Ro his favorite train signal, which he insists we visit every day at least once. He has recently added both "sign" and "signal" to his growing vocabulary.

Aidan and Aunt Ro.

Mom helps Aidan work on a cool new puzzle.

Cat toy!

"Aunts" Penny & Marissa brought Aidan his own time machine [not shown].

Aunt Barbara initiates nephew Aidan into the mysteries of Leggo. A BIG hit.

Is it just me or have LEGGO gotten much bigger?

Giant LEGGO with Auntie Ro...

What a great Birthday!

They say I've got my dad's eyes ... so what's he using?

October, '04 at Catherine Boone's wedding in Cape Cod, with the bride, maid of honor and the groom's mother in background.

These are good seats, Dad! Another wedding shot.

Checking out the new floors in the hallway, thanks to Grandma Rosie.

Test driving, the day after we built the sandbox ...

A nice bath ...

Dad can't catch me!

August '05, at the beach ...

Asbury Park August '04 .

July, '04, Fourth of July Parade in Asbury Park. Dad's work, the Saint, had a car with a banner for the owners and their kids to ride in during the parade, but they had no float and no band. So ...

.
... Aidan's carriage, plus Old Glory, became the Saint Float, while our band consisted of Dad in a Saint T-shirt playing a lap steel guitar taped to the bars, plus a battery-powered amplifier in the basket. It was most fun for Aidan when we got to play along with the marching band behind us, and he loved it when everyone waved at him from the roadside.
